Volunteer Fair...

Workington Fire Station...

Mayor's Parlour...
The Mayor of Workington, Councillor Mrs Carole Armstrong kindly invited the Neighbourhood Care Independence Partners to a Social Afternoon in the Mayor's Parlour today 18th September 2015.  Representatives from Age UK West Cumbria, West Cumbria Carers, Allerdale Disability Association, West House, Royal British Legion, Neighbourhood Care Independence and Cumbria Community Foundation attended.

It was lovely to take time out of our busy schedules and a great privilege to meet the Mayor of Workington in the Mayor's Parlour.  All who attended today would like to forward their thanks onto the Mayor and her colleagues for a most memorable and lovely afternoon.

PeoplePlus Volunteer Fair...
Working in partnership PeoplePlus Business Leader Paula Corrigan and NCI Volunteer Development Manager Allison Wood held their first Volunteer Fair at Langdale House Workington.  Many local organisations including West House, Age UK West Cumbria, Royal British Legion, Scouts, Dementia Friends (Age UK West Cumbria) and Neighbourhood Care Independence were available to chat and were on hand to provide first hand volunteering opportunities, also information and advice on their services.  Paula said "I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended and supported the event, hopefully the start of much more to come".  Pictures of the event below:











 

Lakes College West Cumbria...
Neighbourhood Care Independence were invited to attend an event at Lakes College Lillyhall during Fresher's Week September 2015...a great opportunity to meet the new students and link in with the College Lecturers.  West Cumbria Carers (left to right) Samantha Adewoye and Angela Longrigg pictured below at the event.
